The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has dropped the schedule for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) applications. Here’s what you need to know:
1. UTME Application Documents
The sale of UTME application docs (which includes profile creation) kicks off on January 19, 2026, and closes on February 26, 2026. Create your JAMB profile by sending your NIN to the JAMB shortcode and buy the UTME e-PIN. Don’t wait till the last minute, do it early to avoid congestion .
2. Mock Exam Selection
Want to take the UTME Mock Exam? Let them know during registration. The deadline for selecting the mock exam is February 16, 2026. It’s optional, but it’ll help you get familiar with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.
3.UTME Registration
The actual UTME registration happens from January 26, 2026, to February 28, 2026, at JAMB-accredited CBT centres nationwide. Double-check your details, subject combos, and institution choices before submitting – errors might be hard to fix later.
4.Direct Entry (DE) Application
If you’re applying through Direct Entry (with ND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB, or a degree), the sale of DE docs and e-PIN vending starts on March 2, 2026. Make sure your creds meet the requirements of your chosen institutions.
5.Important Stuff
Get everything done on time, follow JAMB guidelines, and use approved CBT centres to avoid drama. For more info, join the MEAGOB SOLUTIONS UTME/Direct Entry group .
