The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is taking steps to ensure the integrity of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration process. Under the leadership of Registrar Is-haq Oloyede, JAMB plans to closely monitor all accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres involved in candidate registration.
This monitoring exercise aims to enforce strict compliance with JAMB’s registration guidelines, prevent irregular practices, and safeguard candidates’ data. CBT centres are required to submit and comply with monitoring requirements through the JAMB centres portal, enabling real-time oversight of registration activities, including biometric capture and biodata submission.
Any CBT centre engaging in irregular practices, such as double registration, unauthorized data alteration, or improper biometric capture, will face sanctions, including suspension, delisting, or invalidation of registrations. JAMB emphasizes that only accredited CBT centres can conduct UTME registration, advising candidates to avoid unauthorized centres to prevent complications.
This move highlights JAMB’s commitment to transparent, credible, and fraud-free UTME registration, especially ahead of the 2026 examination cycle. Candidates and CBT operators are urged to adhere to official guidelines for a smooth registration process.
