The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the registration process for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) has not yet commenced. However, JAMB has advised prospective candidates to prepare ahead by ensuring they have their National Identification Number (NIN) ready and a unique phone number that has not been previously used for registration on JAMB’s platform . This will enable candidates to generate their profile code promptly once registration opens.
To stay updated on the registration timeline, candidates are encouraged to follow official JAMB channels. Additionally, JAMB has provided guidelines for generating profile codes ahead of the registration.
To generate a JAMB profile code for the 2025 UTME/DE registration, follow these steps:
- Send NIN to 55019 or 66019: Text your National Identification Number (NIN) to 55019 or 66019. Ensure your phone number is linked to your NIN and has sufficient airtime. The message format should be “NIN 1234567890” (replace with your actual NIN).
- Receive Profile Code: You’ll receive a unique 10-character profile code. This code is essential for your JAMB registration .
- Profile Code Validity: Your profile code is only valid for the 2025 UTME/DE registration and cannot be used for subsequent years.
- Existing Profiles: If you created a profile in 2022, 2023, or 2024, you cannot create a new one. Use your old JAMB profile code for the 2025 registration .
- Forgotten Profile Code: To retrieve your forgotten profile code, send “RESEND” to 55019 .
- Email Verification: Ensure you link a verified email address to your profile.
Remember to carefully follow these guidelines to avoid issues with your JAMB profile creation.
